Fort McKay (AMS 1)

The Fort Mckay Station is located near the northwest corner of the Fort McKay Water Treatment Plant. This station was built in the fall of 1997 and replaced a nearby station operated by Alberta Environmental Protection.

The Fort McKay station contains analyzers that continuously measure SO2, TRS, THC, O3, NO, NO2, NOx, PM2.5, global radiation, leaf wetness, humidity, wind speed and direction, and the temperature at a height of 2 m and 10 m. A tipping bucket rain gauge measures precipitation during the summer. Non-continuous measurement devices include a PM10, VOC's, chemical analysis of precipitation, semi-volatile organic compounds and several passives.

Current Data

* Current Station Data Disclaimer:
All air quality monitoring data displayed on this site by the Wood Buffalo Environmental Association is directly from monitoring equipment output signals. Displayed data is generally indicative of ambient conditions, however, it has not been reviewed, validated, nor processed for baseline drift and other fluctuations by qualified technicians. Final processed and validated data values may vary from values displayed on this site. A displayed value of 'n/d' indicates air monitoring data is not available at the corresponding time due to scheduled maintenance and/or instrument calibration.
