Mildred Lake (AMS 2)

The Mildred lake station is located at the Syncrude airstrip. In the picture shown above the station is the orange building on the left. This station was originally part of Syncrude's air monitoring network. Note the radio antenna on the tower. This antenna receives signals from the Buffalo Viewpoint station (station 4) located in Syncrude's South mine. There are no telephone lines available in the South mine, so two pairs of radio's transmit data from station 4 to station 2.

The Mildred Lake station contains analyzers that continuously measure SO2, H2S, THC, wind speed and direction, and temperature.

Current Data

* Current Station Data Disclaimer:
All air quality monitoring data displayed on this site by the Wood Buffalo Environmental Association is directly from monitoring equipment output signals. Displayed data is generally indicative of ambient conditions, however, it has not been reviewed, validated, nor processed for baseline drift and other fluctuations by qualified technicians. Final processed and validated data values may vary from values displayed on this site. A displayed value of 'n/d' indicates air monitoring data is not available at the corresponding time due to scheduled maintenance and/or instrument calibration.
