COTAG (Conditional Time Average Gradient)

The Purpose: COTAG was developed to measure deposition velocities of compounds such as nitric acid, sulphur dioxide and ammonia in areas with low vegetation cover types to estimate dry deposition.
Results will be used to calibrate deposition models and estimate dry deposition. In April 2010, COTAG was deployed at AMS#1 and collocated with URG and air monitoring station, to cross-reference results. In May 2010, COTAG was deployed at fen adjacent to JPH4. Denuders were collected monthly for laboratory analysis at Alberta Innovates. The COTAG was removed on Oct 17, 2010 and will be stored until next season.
